The views are stunning and worth the trip. It takes around 15 minutes in the chairlift each way. You have the option to pay for a one way ticket (7.5 EUR instead of 10) and walk down. The walk from Capri to Anacapri was also great with fantastic scenery, although exhausting.
Get yourselves to The Seggiovia Di Monte Solaro (Seggiovia means chairlift). This is at Via Caposcuro, 10, 80071 Anacapri NA, Italy. This is located in Anacapri, which is about a 10-15 minute car ride from Capri town centre.
The chairlift to the top is quite enjoyable, walk around the top of that area which is AnaCapri and then head to the main town square of Capri and the gardens there. At the top of Monte Solaro I remember there was a small café.
First stop: take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro. From Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri, the chairlift ride to the peak of Mount Solaro takes about 12 minutes, and from there you can enjoy stunning views over the island and surrounding sea. You can walk back down, stopping to visit the Cetrella Hermitage.
