The Canon 1D Mark IV's 16-megapixel sensor captures a lot of image detail when coupled with a good lens, but images are slightly oversharpened at default settings.If "Card Err" is displayed on the LCD panel, it indicates a problem with the memory card that is preventing the image data from being recorded or read. Use another memory card instead. Or, if you have a memory card reader (commercially available) that can read the card, use it to transfer the images to a personal computer. So, naturally I wondered if the 7D Mark II would be a wise upgrade to the 1D Mark IV. To help make the decision, I rented the 7D Mark II over the Thanksgiving holiday, to do some hands-on testing. Having sent it back, and having yet to review the images on my monitor, I am still in the decision making process.
