709 posts · Joined 2013. #2 · Jan 3, 2015. On our 1999 slk230 the fuses are located under the hood on the drivers side (left hand drive) in then corner by the firewall. Fuse 37 controls the fan for the climate system if that's what you are looking for. Tim.
The 1998 Mercedes SLK 230 wiring diagram includes diagrams for each component and device of the vehicle, from engine to chassis, to dash and electrical system. Components including sensors, horns, wipers, headlights, brakes, power windows, and fuel pump relays are all included. The diagram also shows how the individual parts of the electrical SOURCE: location of blower motor fuse. Fuse blower motor is not in the fuse box. It is located outside. lOpen the hood, on the driver side near the fender, about 1 feet from the fuse box toward the direction of the radiator, there is a retangular about 1x2 in with wire coming out from each end. Snap it open, inside is the the wire fuse.

There is another bulletin, DEALER TECHNICAL BULLETIN 34/01, that recommends these remedies for the C1000 and BAS/ESP ABS MILs: MODEL 170: Check the power supply at PIN 45 (2.5 sq. mm, sw) and PIN 47 (4.0 sq. mm, sw) of the ESP control module. Check fuse F31f3 (fuse 3 in the battery fuse box) for secure fit and continuity.
