The improvements have had no effect on the size of new glass. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is 0.14-1.2mm thick, just like Victus. Corning, on the other hand, can also tailor the thickness to the manufacturer’s specifications. Furthermore, the softening point of Victus 2 has been raised slightly from 827 to 878 degrees Celsius.
Gorilla Glass 5 is the successor of Gorilla Glass 4 and it is much stronger and durable than Gorilla Glass 4 and Gorilla Glass 3. Gorilla Glass 5 is so strong that it can survive crashes on hard and rough surface 80% of the time if dropped from a height of 1.6 meters.
